We are pleased to welcome Lauren Cushion, M.Ed., as the new principal of Scenic Hills Christian Academy!

Mrs. Cushion brings experience in Adventist education as a teacher, counselor, and administrator. Most recently, she served as the teaching principal at El Paso Adventist Academy, where she also previously served as school counselor, high school English teacher, middle school creative writing teacher, and substitute. She is passionate about Adventist education and is committed to helping every student grow in their relationship with Christ while achieving academic excellence.

Mrs. Cushion earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Texas at El Paso. She also holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Mrs. Cushion and her husband, Jason, have one son, Malachi. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
