Lauren Cushion

Principal

Lauren Cushion, M.Ed., is honored to serve as principal of Scenic Hills Christian Academy. Most recently, she was the teaching principal at El Paso Adventist Academy, where she previously served as school counselor, high school English teacher, and middle school creative writing teacher. She is passionate about Adventist education and is committed to helping every student grow in their relationship with Christ while achieving academic excellence.

Lauren earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Texas at El Paso. She also holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Lauren and her husband, Jason, have one son, Malachi. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. Her favorite bible verse is Romans 8:28, "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."
